Read the first five by Ainslie Paton, Elizabeth Dunk, Juanita Kees, ME, and Jane O’Reilly,
Read ’em as the drop, read them individually, or read them all in one huge luscious brownie bite washed down with your choice of delicious coffee!
My menu offering Niagara Falls at Cafe Nix, features Ella the frazzled, Southern-fried Bride and her patient, true love, Craig, from Driving in Neutral, and a word I’ve never been fond of. It’s a little bit suggestive, a little bit naughty (mature language!), a little bit smart-ass because sunburn never felt so….good.

Fourteen Escape authors, one contemporary romance, fifteen happy endings. Welcome to Cafe nix
Long distance relationships don’t work Nix Sutherland is at a crossroads. She loves running the family business, the famous Sydney Harbourside Cafe Nix, and she also loves Linc, whose vet practice is in Melbourne.
After months of jumping on planes and swapping cities, both of them too stressed and tried to enjoy being together, it’s all come to a head. In the middle of a typically busy day at the cafe that includes everything from broken hearts to breaking waters, cops to canoodling couples, Nix realises that loving the cafe means giving up Linc.

You might know how I’m all about coffee. This explains why, when presented with a writing opportunity that mentioned the word ‘cafe,’ I jumped at the chance to write a short story that’s set in a cafe, because a cafe is A PLACE THAT SERVES COFFEE.
That place is Cafe Nix.
The trick here was to write a story that starred coffee and some characters from my novel Driving in Neutral, and link it to other short stories that take place at Cafe Nix.
This means, Fourteen authors with Escape Publishing, one contemporary romance, and fifteen happy endings. It’s coming soon. Andthis is what’ll happen when 14 Escape authors eye off Wattpad and wonder how to play: What we have is an experiment in a short story continuity.
